3 Soothing and Healing Face Oil Recipes to DIY

As many have taken to wearing masks daily, some of us have gotten some undesired reactions, either due to allergies or skin sensitivity and such. So! Here’s three quick and easy DIY Soothing and Healing Face Oil recipes we’ve whipped up and have been using to soothe our skins (if you’re unsure on how to use this oil, check out our ‘How to Use’ section down below!) 😊

6Moringa Oil + Frankincense Essential Oil

Packed with vitamins A, C and E and other antioxidants + anti-inflammatory properties, Moringa Oil helps fight premature aging and dull skin. Also, great for blemish control, clearing blackheads and lightening dark spots on the skin.

Frankincense Essential Oil is purported to help increase skin elasticity, balance and rejuvenate skin. It’s also one of the best essential oils for fading scars and healing the skin.

What you’ll need:

  1. 30ml Amber Glass Bottle with Glass Tube Dropper Cap
  2. 28ml of Moringa Oil
  3. 12 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil
  4. Glass Beaker
  5. Measuring Spoons
  6. Stirrer (a popsicle stick works well, or a metal spoon)

Instructions

  1. Using measuring spoons, measure 28ml of moringa oil and pour into a glass beaker.
  2. Add 12 drops of frankincense essential oil into same the glass beaker.
  3. Stir to blend both oils.
  4. Once blended, pour into a 30ml amber glass bottle with a glass dropper cap.

7Grape Seed Oil + Wheatgerm Oil + Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Wheatgerm Oil is brilliant for moisturizing, repairing and soothing skin. It can help with psoriasis, eczema and general skin dryness, though it may feel heavy on the skin. To counter this, Grape Seed Oil which is lightweight and able to rejuvenate and improve skin’s softness, is added.

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil can reduce pigmentation, soothe skin irritation and also regulate sebum production. It can also improve the overall health of your skin.

What you’ll need:

  1. 30ml Amber Glass Bottle with Glass Tube Dropper Cap
  2. 10ml of Wheatgerm Oil
  3. 18ml of Grape Seed Oil
  4. 12 drops of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
  5. Glass Beaker
  6. Measuring Spoons
  7. Stirrer (a popsicle stick works well, or a metal spoon)

Instructions

  1. Using measuring spoons, measure 10ml of wheatgerm oil and 18ml of grape seed oil. Pour into a glass beaker.
  2. Add 12 drops of ylang ylang essential oil into same the glass beaker.
  3. Stir to blend both oils.
  4. Once blended, pour into a 30ml amber glass bottle with a glass dropper cap.

St John’s Worts Oil is a brilliant healing oil. Traditionally, used topically for the treatment of wounds, abrasions, burns, sunburns and inflammatory skin disorders (eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, etc).

Helichrysum Essential Oil has anti-inflammatory properties and thus, can soothe skin irritations. It can also reduce pigmentation, balance and rejuvenate skin, and combat signs of aging.

What you’ll need:

  1. 30ml Amber Glass Bottle with Glass Tube Dropper Cap
  2. 28ml of St John Wort’s Oil
  3. 12 drops of Helichrysum Essential Oil
  4. Glass Beaker
  5. Measuring Spoons
  6. Stirrer (a popsicle stick works well, or a metal spoon)

Instructions

  1. Using measuring spoons, measure 28ml of st john wort’s oil and pour into a glass beaker.
  2. Add 12 drops of helichrysum essential oil into same the glass beaker.
  3. Stir to blend both oils.
  4. Once blended, pour into a 30ml amber glass bottle with a glass dropper cap.

8How to Use:

  1. Wash your face with your cleanser.
  2. Add four to five drops of face oil onto clean palms.
  3. Gently massage (with some light tapping motions) the oil onto a clean face and neck to encourage the skin to absorb the serum. Avoid your eye area.

Note: You can use these face oils at night or during the day as the last step of your routines.
